There is a wide range of profiles in the product range for use within various applications, including Waterstops, Joint tubes and swelling sealing products. Also as part of the range we offer Elastomer bearings / slide bearings, core stipe bearings, sliding foils and sound damping bearings.
The waterstops and profiles are availaable in two materials: a) PVC-P Standard specification and b) PVC-P-NBR (nitrile butadiene rubber). Both materials are available in "NB" = not compatible with bitumen and "BV" = compatible with bitunmen.
Combination Joint Seal Waterstop (KAB)
The KAB profile is a waterstop with an integrated hydropholic gasket profile used for the sealing of construction joints in concrete structures. The KAB consists of a high-grade semi-hard PVC-P material and a round swelling rubber profile (gasket) with a capacity for high volume expansion. The sealing capabilities of the KAB waterstop have been successfully tested and proven in practical use by employing concrete-encased test modules.
Even under high water pressure both sealing elements, ribbed sealing and swelling profile and have proven to function in an impressing way without failure.
The combination construction joint waterstops are used successfully for years in clarification plants, swimming pools, water supply tanks, basement garages and in domestic buildings. Test certificates supporting these experiments are available on request.
The combination construction joint waterstop is distinguished by cost effectiveness, easy installation and reliability.
Expansion Joint Waterstops
As the name suggests this range of products has been developed for usage in expansion areas, such as expansion joints between insitu concrete slabs, walls etc. The expansion joint waterstops are comprised of PVC-P-NBR combined polymerisat and As shown in Fig. 3 can be used Internally, Externally and for capping joints.
Construction Joint Waterstops
This product range of shrinkage tubes are designed to create a predetermined breaking point in concrete structures. The structural element is thereby weakened and a construction joint is formed between the anchor positions of the tubes. In combination with triangle profiles which are used outside of the structural members, the joints are formed in an even pattern due to the uniform stress distribution and is initiated by the inbuilt crack inducer strips in the joint tube.
The waterproofing of the joint is provided by the means of the anchor ribs. The tube can also be filled with concrete which will no affect its function.
Swellable rubber profiles
Leschuplast swellable rubber are used for sealing construction joints. They swell on contact with water and and therefore seal construction joints. This product is predominatly used to seal construction joints and expansion joints in:
a) In water retaining structures such as reservoirs, water towers, dams, spillways, canals, swimming pools, sewage tanks, etc.
b) To keep water out of concrete structures such as basements, underground car parks, tunnels, subways, retaining walls, etc
The product is composed of Thermoplastic elastomere (TPE). Due to the extreme elasticity of the material a swelling rate of up to 300% is possible. Therefore the joint is sealed without voids.
